Unlike many applications, the requirements for using Blaq are very simple. Since most companies already have internet access, most of our clients find they don't need to do anything to be able to start using Blaq. 

• Internet Connection To access Blaq you will need an Internet connection. Whilst it will work with any speed connection, to use the application comfortably broadband is strongly recommended and we suggest a speed of at least 512 kbps. 
• Web Browser Blaq can be used with most of the popular current web browsers on a Mac, PC or Linux platform. The browsers supported by Blaq are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox & Chrome. Make sure your browser is the most recent version to ensure full compatibility. For Blaq to function correctly, your browser needs to have Javascript enabled.
• Screen Resolution Blaq has been designed to be used with a minimum screen resolution of 800x600, though we recommend that you use a resolution of at least 1024x768. 
• Printing in Blaq is performed by Adobe Acrobat PDF files of your reports, invoices, quotes, etc. Therefore, to print from Blaq you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. It should be at least version 5. You can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader by visiting http://www.adobe.com.

We've mostly found a function might not work correctly due to an older web browser being used. Whilst you can use any browser to browse the web, some of the functions within Blaq are only available within the newer browsers and may cause problems in older browsers. Since browsers are free, we advise you always upgrade to the latest version of the browser you use.

Blaq runs on the latest servers and on a very fast network so its usually very quick. If it is running slow it might be due to a problem with your ISP or if you're using a shared connection at your home/office, see if other users are doing a lot of uploading or downloading. There are many sites available to test the speed of your connection such as speedtest.net.
